I figure since this is a more personal blog, I should post some of my work. Some is recent, some isn't, but it's basically what my life has been for the past 12 months.
Obviously, I started off thinking I should be a painter. I'm not sure why, I guess it's the 'traditional' art form, and it seemed the most feasible. I've always seen it as an escape, and it is, and the moment it became something more, as such, it lost its magic. This is really the only painting I made last year that has any inherent meaning for me... I didn't even turn it in.

I won't explain it, but it symbolizes the moment that I realized I was indeed in the wrong place, and the change started overcoming me.
And then, we come to photography.
Marek, of course, is a very willing subject and tolerant of me learning to use my new camera. Basically this photo was one of those 'testing' shots that turned out a lot better than I planned.

I had a class in collage; the better portfolio consisted of found images that represented carnage, war, the idiocy of it all, and that sort of thing.

I think they went pretty well. I'm not sure I'll keep working on things like that... it did open up a lot of personal anger at the way the media portrays violence and rams the latest carnage down our throats, so I suppose it was good to do, but I'm not sure I want to continue.
Some lighting photos:
These were basically to learn to use portable strobes, and they turned out really well.

Oh yeah and last but not least, here is me, on August 28, at the Elmwood Cemetery, during shooting for the fall semester.

And yeah, for now, that will be it, I'll add more things when I get there.
